Required FEMA Course for
Fire Safety Directors and Assistants
(only required for the City of Los Angeles)



IS-100.C: Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100
The Fire Safety Director, any Assistant Fire Safety Directors, Floor Wardens and Suite Monitors are now required to be trained and certified annually by a certified High-Rise Safety Consultant.

Prior to the Certifications for the Fire Safety Director and the Assistants, they must first complete and pass the FEMA ICS 100C course and test.  This FEMA course only needs to be accomplished once and is not required to be taken annually, but the Certification is.

This can be accomplished in 3 easy steps below.

Step 1:  Register for a FEMA SID (if you don't already have one) by clicking  Register for a FEMA SID and click on the button on the far right of the page and follow the instructions.

Step 2: Take the Course by clicking Course Welcome and click the arrows at the bottom center of the page to start the materials.

Step 3: Take the test by clicking Test and scroll down and enter your SID and last name and follow the instructions.
The Fire Safety Director Certification
can be accomplished online after you have completed the FEMA Course.
Once you have received your FEMA Certificate, email it to me for further instructions.





FSD / FW Certification
Fire Safety Director only Certification........................$500.00 annually
This covers the Fire Safety Director and any Assistant Fire Safety Directors.
This program consists of a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation and printed test.

Fire Safety Director & Floor Warden Certification....$1,000.00 annually
Requires two different sessions @ $500.00 each session.
This covers the Fire Safety Director and any Assistant Fire Safety Directors and all Floor Wardens and/or Suite Monitors.
This program consists of a 13-minute PowerPoint presentation and printed test.
